What parts in an ABS braking system of a 2007 Ford Fusion is rubber or contains rubber? Must know what to buy and replace?

I have a contamination of transmission fluid inside my brake fluid reservoir. I know, very bad mistake. I understand what this type of fluid will do to rubber and I need to know the parts of the system I need to buy and replace.

Oh Boy, Brake Fluid is Propylene Glycol, ATF used to be mineral oil based but now Ester. Both are compatible with rubber, but most parts are really Viton. You need to FLUSH your system. Go to Youtube and watch a video. Buy a Quart of HiTemp DOT 3 and 2 feet of Vacuum Line to fit snuggly the bleeder screw. Use a Clear plastic bottle and put the vacuum line in it to pump the old fluid into. Spray PB Blaster on the bleeder screws first. It's not a hard job, just tedious. NEVER let the Brake Reservoir get empty. Put the cap on lightly after filling each time.

Flush and bleed the fluid. Nothing on the brake system is broken.

If you want half a chance of saving the whole system you MUST NOT FLUSH THE SYSTEM!
Flushing will push the oil through everything. If you just poured a little oil in the reservoir you should pop the plastic reservoir housing off the cylinder and dump it out. Clean it out with brake clean, dry it out and then put it back on with new brake fluid. Even with the plastic housing removed the cylinder won't get air in it if you don't touch the brake pedal.
Man, I can't believe anyone would suggest flushing, that's a $1000 plus gamble, hopefully it's not too late.
If this car came to my shop we would probably also try squeezing the brake calipers with the reservoir removed just to try and push any residue out of the cylinder but that might be too much for you.
If the system is contaminated you're buying everything, head to toe, abs unit - everything!

Transmission fluid will not harm rubber, but you will want to remove it from the system. Flushing the system will not hurt anything.

Take it to a mechanic that has a scan tool that will activate the ABS pump while flushing the system. If you mess around with it you'll likely be replacing the ABS pump and spending thousands of dollars.

  • Who must/will replace my car? Bought a car from a ford dealership, but the warranty is with a Hyundai dealership. The car is already having issues within just 3 weeks. If I request a replacement; which of the dealerships should/would replace it? The car is financed. 2015 Sonata - 60,000 mile warranty. Only 34K miles on it. Bought it used at 33.9k miles.
  • If my power steering pump and pulley break, is there any other parts I may have to potentially replace? Last night when I was driving, my power steering pump busted and also broke my power steering pulley. I have a 2002 ford Taurus. In the process of the pulley breaking off, the serpentine belt came off. It is still on the car so I just have to re position it once the new pulley is on. My question is through this incident, could anything else have broken? I just did a bypass pulley for the AC compressor last week. And I also replaced the serpentine belt last week.
  • How car braking system work? I have a question about how does car/van stop while applying brake. I have ford freestar which have 4 disc brake system. It run only with two front wheel which are connected to transmission or engine. So my question is when I apply the brake pedal, the brake are apply only on front 2 wheels or also on rear wheel?
