Where is the slave cylender located in a 2000 ford ranger? - 1

Shut. Up.

I'm familiar with the Ford Ranger. Post-1993 models use a coaxial slave cylinder in the bellhousing of, depending on the year of production, the Toyo Kogyo M5R1 or M5R4; this design, which surrounds the input shaft, is notoriously difficult to bleed after clutch replacement. (I had a project to retrofit a Borg-Warner World Class T-5 from a Mustang, including bellhousing, external slave cylinder, and release fork, when the L4-2.3's fuel injection failed: The M5R1 has a shift-mechanism design flaw that can result in the gearbox locking into direct drive; don't know whether that was corrected on the M5R4.)

Hi so you have to get down and dirty to find this one underneath

Inside the transmission bell housing. Its a slave cylinder/throw out bearing combo

  • Where is the ecm/computer located in a 1994 ford ranger? Trying to find location of ecm/computer on a 1994 ford ranger, bing.com isn't giving me any help. Or you tube. I've heard under the dash, in the kick panels, between the brake booster and firewall. Anyone have a clue?

  • Does the oil pan have to be removed to change the rear main seal on a ford 3.0L V6 in a 2000 ford ranger? I have the engine removed from the truck and was swaping in a salvaged engine that all checks out good except for a slight leaking rear main seal. So, after inspecting the rear main seal, it appears as though a could just slide it out and a new one in. Does the oil pan need to be removed? Or can I just carefully remove the old seal and clean the surfaces good and install a new one?
  • Clutch slave cylinder union? I have a ford focus 2001 1.4 16v car. I recently had the clutch changed while this was done my mechanic can't get this union back on as it has a hairline split. I'm now looking to find this part however I can't find it. Unless I buy a whole new clutch pipe is there anyway to get this part without the pipe? And does anyone know what part exactly it is? This is my first car, and I'm not 100npercent sure.
