Where is the ecm/computer located in a 1994 ford ranger?
Trying to find location of ecm/computer on a 1994 ford ranger, bing.com isn't giving me any help. Or you tube. I've heard under the dash, in the kick panels, between the brake booster and firewall. Anyone have a clue?
The connector for a scan tool on your ranger is under the hood near the battery and engine compartment fuse panel as you would look for a cover marked "EEC test". The computer itself should be in the area of the passenger side kick panel also in the area is the fuel pump interntia switch as incase of a jolt from a collision the switch is supposed to trip cutting power to the fuel pump inside the fuel tank. To get the engine running you have to reach in the passenger side kick panel near the firewall to find the switch and hit the reset button.
Ok those ranger/mazda chassis have some quirks. I've seen some early ones in the upper middle of the dash. Follow the wires. It should be like 1x roughly 6 inch rectangular with a 10 mm bolt head in the middle. Pass kick panel is usually where the 4x4 computer is. Bet google knows.
