Valve Cover Gaskets on 88 Ford Ranger?
I have an 88 Ford Ranger and the valve cover gaskets were leaking so I have decided to change them. I haven't started in the left side yet but so far on the right side I have unbolted all 8 bolts, unplugged the wiring harness, and unplugged the fuel filter but now I have a problem. The freon line is in my way so that I can't get the cap out of the truck. I've tried wiggling it and turning it ever which way it can go but it just will not come out of there because of that line. Is there anything I can do to unplug that without freon going everywhere or is there another way to get it out? I've tried looking online but can't find anything.
May have to un-bolt A/C compressor and move whole shootin' match just a little to gain clearance. Welcome to the wide, wide world of auto mechanics!

We also replaced the thermostat. What other possibilities are there?
