Replaced fuel pump, 2 new problems?

Replaced my fuel pump on my 2006 ford ranger Sunday. It was registering 20 psi at KOEO and 24 at idle.

Since then the transmission shifts very hard and I lose acceleration from 4th gear on.
Here is a breakdown:

1st - 2nd gear - hard shift
2nd - 3rd gear - slightly smoother
3rd - 4th gear - quick shift with smooth shift
4th gear on up - smoother shift but lose all acceleration.

After 4th gear, I can have the paddle all the way to the floor and it barely wants to accelerate.

Any advice on what this could be?

20 -24 PSI? Seems low for any vehicle

Fuel injected vehicles have a 50 to 68 psi requirement. Odd it even started.
Does your motor have a high pressure fuel pump? Newer vehicles have a normal fuel pump in the gas tank and a mechanical high pressure pump running off of the motor.

The transmission issues probably have NOTHING to do with replacing the fuel pump. The only reason they didn't show before you replaced the fuel pump is that the car didn't run well enough to shift at fuel pressures that low.
