My 1999 ford ranger has 20 lbs of pressure on the fuel line. Do i need a fuel pump?
After I tested the pressure and shut the motor off the pressure went down to 0 quick. When I just turn the key I don't get any pressure
It should be around 45psi IIRC. You might want to check the fuel pressure regulator as well.
- Would a faulty water pump, on a 04 Ford Freestar, cause the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor to go bad? There's definite spray pattern on the underside of the hood from the water pump going. Could antifreeze have gotten into the fuel rail sensor and caused it to fault? Is it possible to clean the Fuel Rail Pressure sensor or any corrosion? Part is EXPENSIVE.
- When changing the power steering pump on a KA (54) can you use PTFE tape to seal the pressure line from pump? I have changed the power steering pump on a ford KA (54) and when removing the pressure line from the pump there was some kind of seal on it but I don't know what it was, so I was hopping that PTFE tape would do the same job at sealing the thread. Any help please. Andy.

- Gas gauge doesn't work in a 2001 Ford Expedition. Would it be the fuel pump sender and pressure sender? I'm hoping it could be something else that could cause the gas gauge not to work. I meant to say pressure sensor
