Is it worth it to buy a ford ranger with 387,000 miles?
My neighbor is selling his 1999 ford ranger 5 speed manual for 5300$. I think it's a decent truck for its Age besides a few dents and scrapes it runs and looks fine, and it has high mileage but it has a good engine and transmiton from what he tells me. However is it worth what he wants for it
If it were a Supercab with a V6 and an automatic in VERY GOOD condition it would be worth a little over $3000.
Only a drooling, blithering idiot would consider paying $5300 for it.
I have some swamp land I'm looking to sell to some unsuspecting sucker. Would you be interested in that too?
It's not even worth $1000 with mileage that high. Any major repair will be more than the truck
That truck is barely worth $2000, especially with such high mileage. You can do better than that.
If you're not a troll you should be, that's hilarious.
You meant $530 dollars. Didn't you?
Not unless it had a new engine and transmission. Even then you would have to make allowances for the running gear. I agree $530--$5 thousand & he can shove it up his @ss. A lot to pay for the novelty of seeing how long it goes.
WAY too many miles! Walk away while you still have all of your money!
The Truck is shot. Don't buy it.
- How much is a 2000 ford ranger with 170,000 miles and 3 inch body lift worth? It is a stepside, extended cab. It has a few probs… Window on drivers side doesn't work… Electric windows… And the tires are kinda bald… It also has a slight oil leak somewhere… It always leaves little dots of oil when it is parked. It does burn any oil at all though. What would it be worth you think?
- Is a 2008 ford focus with 102,000 miles worth the purchase? I'm looking into used cars to buy for my first car and I found a used 2008 ford focus that I like with about 102000 miles on it. I've heard ford cars don't last that long, so is it a waste to buy a ford with that many miles? I'm going to be using it to drive too and from college, so mostly highway miles.
- Do you think buying a 2000 ford focus with 161,000 miles a good car purchase? For 1,000? I'm wondering if anyone will recommend, a 2000 ford focuse with 161,000 mileage as my first car, I recently got my drivers permit I want a car to practice my driving skills and I stubbled into the 2000 ford focus.
- I own a 2015 Ford Escape with 30,000 miles and runs good. My prior vehicle had over 150,000 miles and I used Gumout Regane high mileage fuel? System cleaner. I still have a bottle of the Gumout and wondering if I used it in the Escape, would the Gumout do any harm to it? I suppose I could wait until I get 75,000 miles on it before using but I'm a 3000-4000 miles a year driver and the Gumout would go bad before using it.
