Do you think buying a 2000 ford focus with 161,000 miles a good car purchase? For 1,000?

I'm wondering if anyone will recommend, a 2000 ford focuse with 161,000 mileage as my first car, I recently got my drivers permit I want a car to practice my driving skills and I stubbled into the 2000 ford focus.

So many variables to consider, but a car this age will need new suspension struts, if its a manual transmission it probably needs a new clutch. Brakes and tires need a good look as well as the engine. A car this old will need a new radiator.
I would go to a couple of wrecking yards and find out from them if any Ford Focus car's available from all production years. This is because parts are usually interchangeable and if you need a part you could get one from a later model they may have on hand. I tell you this because of the car age and personal experience with used cars. Best wishes.

Nope., the 16valve alloy engine is made by company "yamaha".once the bottom ends go,"knocking" its time to throw it away.Do you think buying a 2000 ford focus with 161,000 miles a good car purchase For 1,000 - 1

As long as it runs and drives, take it. Can't go wrong for 1,000

I heard even ford employees don't want to buy fords
