If you don't have any free play, adjust the free play. If you have free play, you replace the clutch.
You replace a slipping clutch. There's no adjustment when you have a hydraulic system. The pedal rod is only a free play adjustment and you must have 1/4" of free play or you'll burn right through a new clutch in no time.
- How to diagnose clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder clutch is solid will not disengage can't push in at all? 94 Ford Ranger V6 4.0 2 wheel drive my clutch went solid while driving last night it will not disengage wondering how to diagnose if it's the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder please help no fluid leaking anywhere I'm hoping it's just the master I would be the cheap and easy one just don't know how to tell which one is bad
