Do I need to change my gas pump?
I drive a 1990 ford ranger 2.9L. Every time I turn my truck on it starts right up. But whenever I go to pump gas and I start my truck it starts and then it struggles to stay on and it dies because of low RPM. What's wrong with it
Question iffy when you pump gas as in when you fill up it won't stay running? Or are you depreesing the gas pedal when you are trying to start it if that is the case you don't have to press the gas pedal to start a fuel injected engine… Does it start good when its cold but after it warms up does if not want to idle the is a bad air idle motor round thing on side of intake about size of pill bottle silver color… No if it don't want to run after you put gas in it and after you drive it is ok don't know what try changing fuel filter its under truck on frame rail u tube on how to do it
- On my 2000 ford mustang why does my air pump (smog pump) only blow air for 5 seconds after start up? Is that normal? I have p0411 secondary air injection system insufficient flow detected. I've checked the hose that comes out from the pump, it's blowing air but I believe it should blow air for much longer than 5 seconds on start up.

- When changing the power steering pump on a KA (54) can you use PTFE tape to seal the pressure line from pump? I have changed the power steering pump on a ford KA (54) and when removing the pressure line from the pump there was some kind of seal on it but I don't know what it was, so I was hopping that PTFE tape would do the same job at sealing the thread. Any help please. Andy.
- How to change water pump on 1993 Ford Tempo? I managed to get the drive belt off but I can't seem to get the tube that goes into the water pump off. It seems to be made of metal or something. I also can't seem to reach the 3 bolts that hold the water pump on, they seem to be in places to tight to reach. Any suggestions?
