97 Ford Ranger alignment or something else?

When jacked up "evenly" both front tires tilt in "bottom in, top out". Along with that i was told that while driving my passenger tire "only one they saw" goes bottom out when driving "negative camber". I took the wheel off, tried moving tire rod and nothing happened, but to my knowledge that has to do with "toe" and from sight the shocks and stuff seem to be in tact and nothing visibly wrong with them. "Not compressed at all".

Every now and then while driving I get a little bit of shaking, but nothing pulling and the shaking comes and goes. As for tire wear there isn't any major difference at all, if you feel the top edges of the inside the inside doesn't have much of an edge as the outside, but visually you couldn't tell.

Honestly I just don't want to take to get aligned and then find out something else was wrong with it and at the same time i don't want to pay $30-$50 for some guy to tell me nothing is wrong with it. So thanks for everyone's opinion right now!

It's a common thing for vehicles to be positive camber when lifted up and negative camber when compressed, it is caused by differing length control arms, don't worry about it, just have your vehicle correctly wheel aligned for it's normal ride height

What's the question? If your tyres are **** and its steering all right don't bother until your up for new tires then get a front end alignment. What is wrong with it for you to be asking? Does it steer straight and stay straight on a straight reasonably flat road? Does it brake straight?

When you jack the vehicle up, it is normal for the bottom of the wheel to go in a bit. What I think you need is an alignment and wheel balancing, this should solve the problem

If you messed with the tie rod ends you messed up the alignment that was likely alright if you didn't have tire wear to begin with. Now you'll have tire wear that will show up in around 3,000 miles.Nice going jojo. You can't see tire adjustments. That's why they have a machine!

Sounds like your car is doing what it does.

Shake it up and down and side to to side

  • Who else thinks that the Ford ranger will get discontinued? The models up until 2012 looked great, and they seemed to sell ok. I saw pictures of the newer models, 2012-now, and they look ugly. But the interior looks nice and comfortable. But I don't see hardly anyone driving the newer models. They can't be selling well.
  • I just bought a 1990 Ford Ranger and it is doing something weird? As stated in the title I bought a 1990 Ford Ranger today and it had recently gotten some parts replaced including: Fly Wheel, Starter, tires and some others. But the problem is, when I'm stop and accelerate the whole truck shakes and jiggles and I'm not exactly sure what it is? Any comments help. It's a Ford Ranger 1990 Automatic 4wd. Also, I'm not sure if this is normal on these old of cars but when on the freeway going about 65 that's red lining it.
  • I have a 1997 ford ranger XLT and there's something wrong with my heater? When I turn the heat selector it doesn't do anything. Could there be something wrong with the vacuum. My truck is a 2.3 l 4 cylinder with 8 sparkplugs. How can I fix this? Also could something be preventing the trap doors from opening when I put it to a different selection
  • How to give an idea for something to like Chevy or ford or something? I have an idea that I know would make a lot of money for them but I want to tell them, not anyone else about it, and should I try and patent it first?
