1994 ford ranger headlighat switch problem?
I have replaced the switch and the connecter that plugs into it. I have had to rewire the headlight wire (red wire) twice now because it keeps melting and last time it melted the connecter. Do I have a short or what?
It sounds like you have a short or the wire is too small and can't carry the required current.
Hi yes you have short and the possibility of a fire in the future if it doesn't get fixed.
Check both fuse boxes in cab and under hood.
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- Where is the ecm/computer located in a 1994 ford ranger? Trying to find location of ecm/computer on a 1994 ford ranger, bing.com isn't giving me any help. Or you tube. I've heard under the dash, in the kick panels, between the brake booster and firewall. Anyone have a clue?

- Possible engine swap from 3.0 to 4.0 on 1994 Ford Ranger XL 4x4 manual? I'm wondering if I can drop a V6 4.0L engine straight into a V6 3.0L Ford Ranger XL? Both are 1994 ford rangers, everything the same as far as model/year just different size engine… And if not, what would need to be converted? I found a 4.0 for $250 with 0 miles so if its as simple as swapping engines/trannys I'm going to go for it… Thanks for help!
