What is the cost for parts & labor for 1994 Ford Ranger XLT?
Was intermittent start. Now will not start. It turns over but does not catch.
Added (1). Should be more specific… Parts & Labor for a Full Pump for 1994 Ford Ranger XLT.
It totally depends on where you live and whether or not the mechanic is following his/her companies labor guide and laws. But my estimate bearing that in mind would be:
In labor $229-$317, because it requires dropping the tank or lifting the bed, and possibly draining the fuel and purging and cleaning the fuel system and then reseating the tank into the mounts. Also if it threw an OBD II code for a lean condition I would need to clear it off
In parts I would estimate $239-$534, the pump and fuel sending unit range from anywhere between $49-$115 for a good quality system, also it will require new gaskets and seals, and any bolts or nuts that break off due to rust or anything that could arise that needs to be replaced as well.
Bottom line the total price could be anywhere between $467-$851, and that doesn't include any sort of Local disposal or tax fees that your area has.
Best of Luck!
$2.00.
- Would a long travel suspension kit built for a Ford Ranger Edge/Sport also fit on a Ranger XLT? I found a long travel suspension kit made for a 2002 ranger edge/sport but I have a XLT same year. Would it still fit on and function the same?
- 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3? I had to replace the timing belt because the old one broke. I locked the tensioner to the loose position during dismantling. I put the new belt on and can't get enough tension on it to make it seat into the camshaft pulley so every time I rotate the crankshaft pulley it slips time. Is there a way to force the tensioner back over? There's nothing to pry on to get it back over so I can lock it into the tension position.
- I have a 1994 ford f150 XLT supercab with a v8 5.0. It needs a rear axle? I have a 1994 ford f150 XLT supercab with a v8 5.0. It needs a rear axle. On the door It says "Axle 19" and thats the 3.55 ratio axle. But I can't find the actual axle or a picture of the axle online. I got a photo of the differential cover but can't find the same axle online. Does anyone know what the name of the axle might be. Or have any tips on how I could find it online easier
- What causes the raw gas smell on the drivers side of a 1994 Ford explorer xlt 4x4? Raw gas smell coming out from drivers side near gas tank, saw a rusted spot on the top gas line at rear near tank. Also off topic but the gas gauge says empty when according to specs it still has 4 to 6 gallons left.
