What are her options with this car?

A friend of mine owns a 2008 Honda CRV with close to 100,000 miles. Its giving her nothing but problems, but she did not do a smart loan. Apparently the car is values at the dealer at $10,000 and her loan is $14,000.

the car needs a $400 repair job and she doesn't want to pay it. She went to a ford dealer and They are offering her a used SUV but to cover the difference she needs to put up at least $2000… Which is a lot for her b/c she has mismanaged her life (she could however but she would just be getting another bad loan, and she has good credit). Any ideas would be great.

Engine stutter under a load?

I have a 1999 ford contour se 2.0L 4 cylinder. Lately I've noticed once the car is warmed up (which I never drive if its not) If I put it under a load (around 4500-5500 rpms) it starts to cut out and won't accelerate as fast, then suddenly it jumps to life again and pulls hard through the redline. I'm getting no check engine light, and other than that, the car runs great. I was thinking maybe it was the fuel pump (?) I've already replaced the spark plugs, valve cover gasket, spark plug wires, alternator, and got a tune up. Not sure what else it could be. Any help would be appreciated.

Would a Ford Puma be a good first car?

So I really know nothing about cars, but is the Ford Puma a good car? For instance, with insurance, reliability, driving experience, fuel consumption, ect.
