What are her options with this car?
A friend of mine owns a 2008 Honda CRV with close to 100,000 miles. Its giving her nothing but problems, but she did not do a smart loan. Apparently the car is values at the dealer at $10,000 and her loan is $14,000.
the car needs a $400 repair job and she doesn't want to pay it. She went to a ford dealer and They are offering her a used SUV but to cover the difference she needs to put up at least $2000… Which is a lot for her b/c she has mismanaged her life (she could however but she would just be getting another bad loan, and she has good credit). Any ideas would be great.
She is upside down $4000. If she were able to come up with $2000 in cash, she would then be upside down $5000+ on the next car.
Lots cheaper to pay the $400 repair.
Paying the $400 to get the CR-V fixed is the smartest move, even though she doesn't want it to be.
She's going to pay a lot more than that if she trades it in - plus she will be out an additional $2K in the form of a down payment. For a used Ford? That decision would be foolish.
- What are my options when my car lease is up? I leased a car through ford for 2 years. It has been a year now and I'm looking into my options for when it is up. I would like to get a new truck so can I take my leased car to a different dealership and trade it in as a trade in? If not what are my options
- Need options on a break cylinder job for a 03 ford Taurus car? Need a few pointers and options on a car. So the break cylinder was bad and it got replaced. But it's still leaking a little fluid (not as much before it was replaced) and the car won't stop at all. Does the breaks need bled or what? The car won't stop period and it was driven for a bit with the cylinder bad. Is there a chance a lot of air is in the break lines and need bled? But would that make it leak a little fluid from the cylinder? Just need some options on what to do next.
- Should Ford be studied for her ability to not remember details about her trauma after 13,000 days. But after 6 days with her lawyer? Her memory during her drunken stupor becomes crystal clear? Could Ford's techniques be used with alzheimer's patients, the elderly, and other drunks who experienced "black outs?"
- My 2008 ford ranger Truck is making a Grinding noise when clutch is engaged/press. What are my options? I attach a youtube video of a different car making the same sound. Is my only option to replace the clutch or can it be adjusted? If anybody could link a repair manual to a 2008 ford ranger that would be awesome. I tried google and torrent sites but had no luck
