What is the cheapest way to commute to Albany from Columbia County?

I recently accepted a job offer from the NY State Education Department that will begin on Thursday, October 8th. Currently, I live in Columbiaville (about 25 miles south of Albany via Route 9J) and will commute every morning to work before I'm able to save up enough money to rent an apartment out there. The job itself is on 89 Washington Avenue (in the big NYSED building) and I wanted to know the most cost-effective way of commuting as opposed to just driving 40 minutes out to 89 Washington Avenue and paying $8-10 every day to use the street-parking meters there (meaning, is there anywhere else I can park and just walk to work? Is there a cheap parking garage I should use and then just walk or bus to work? Is there any kind of public transportation that would take me from Columbiaville to Albany and back?).

I drive a gas-guzzling 2002 Ford Crown Victoria (was thinking of selling it once I move out to Albany for something better, but that is not the point of this post), so I will be spending quite a bit of change on gas alone and I want to know the best way to keep parking/commuting costs down so I can save money for an apartment faster. Thanks for all of your help! If you need me to clarify anything or explain anything in further detail, please don't hesitate to ask.

Can spark plugs be re-gapped?

I was in pinch and didn't have a gap gage with me when I changed my spark plugs, so I just kinda eye balled both plugs and tried to get the gaps in the new ones as close as I could to the old ones.

I finally got a gap gage and still had the old plugs around. Turns out the old plugs (factory plugs)
were gapped wrong. I have a ford 4.6l that calls for 0.055 inches, and most of the factory plugs are anywhere from 0.060 to 0.070, I think one was even at 0.090.

To finally ask my question, can these spark plugs be re-gapped?

Average cost of conversion van ownership?

My friend and I are 22 years old and want to buy a van for road trips, not a daily driver. What is the average cost of keeping up with a van? (1988 chevy conversion or 1998 ford conversion) Also, what would the average cost of insurance on vans like these be for 22 year old female?

What is the best jdm car engines? Performance wise?

I'm currently an American car guy. I'm new to the JDM community. And I know from being an American car enthusiast that by the facts there are some great performance engines that come from Chevy dodge and Ford make Chevy small block engines or the ls7 Ford gt500 engines or even the Dodge healthcare 707 horsepower engines. So I would like some input from a real car enthusiast that really work on JDM cars and not to be super opinionated and say oh this car is better or this one's better because of this I don't care about that I just want pure facts and just a little bit of opinion on why.
