New gameplan after I graduate HS, does this sound achieveable for a 19yr old?

So I've decided not to join the guard or army reserves once I graduate. I've decided just to get a job somewhere and work for a year or for the summer until I know what I want to do (I may end up landing a gig at Ford working in the assembly line, since my dad put me in a lottery thing and I have to take a test soon, but even my dad told me I may not get it-so that's a maybe) so if the Ford gig ends up not happening/ even if it does, I eventually plan on going into the Navy- just for the experience and to maybe learn a skill and help shape me into more of a man (and to be honest I've been really spoiled as a kid, pretty much got everything handed to me. My parents wouldn't let me get a job until I graduate HS since they don't want work interfering with my grades. I've always had nothing lower than a 3.0 gpa. So this ford gig would be one of the first jobs I'll ever have (if I get it) . Anyways I just feel like I've been babbied for the past 19yrs and want to start doing things on my own. Even if I do get the Ford job, can I still join the Navy?

How much work to write a rb25det into a 62 ford falcon?

Have been messing around with what to do with my falcon, I thought about an ls, normal 302 or sticking stock 200inline 6 with I believe upgraded camshaft and crank and just putting 20 psi in boost on it. Or try to do a rb25det swap, I know it's a lot of work, would it be just just like a normal ls swap? Or would I literally have to rewire everything and get rid of the old wire harness, I didn't know if there was a way to connect the two.

Why nothing really amazing coming out by Ford, GM and Chrysler?

Ford, GM and Chrysler nothing really amazing coming out every year just really small upgrades. Look at vehicles they have hardly changed, just small upgrades here and there. But vehicles have hardly changed from 90's to now. Just small upgrades.

Is technology inventions for vehicles really low now when it comes to vehicles? Are they afraid to make changes? So just do small changes?

Why have vehicles hardly changed from the 90's to now?

Or no big incentive to change?

How do I become familiar with car brands and what features to look for in a car when buying?

Well I'm 20 years old never owned a car but i'm going to be working full time and still haven't decided if I will buy, lease or finance a car. What confuses me is that there are just so many brands and options out there. How do you choose and how do you know what you want in a car? I'm familiar with the obvious brands like ford and toyota. I know what a sedan and hatchback is. But that's all I know to cars. When I buy a car I don't want to make a mistake. Thanks!

Added (1). Is there some kind of car index you can look through that shows you the different brands and information about the car?
