Replace the whole transmission or just the valve body gasket?
My dads friend told me just to get a transmission and replace the whole thing because it is easier but he thinks my cars problem is the valve body gasket and i have a 2005 ford mustang but i can't find any where to purchase a valve body gasket for this car. If you know drop links below. But the car has shifiting problems. What should i do. (its not the solenoid)

Why not get a real transmission tech to have a look? It could be something a lot easier than doing the whole transmission.
I just came home from helping a carpenter friend put his Ford truck timing cover and water pump back on because after he changed his thermostat he thought the timing cover was leaking. He had the thermostat flange pinched in the housing. He blew his whole weekend chasing his tail and now owes me a boat load of beer ;-)

- Looking for your opinion So I'm a mechanic i replace my head gasket on my 1996 ford ranger 2.3 gasket the head bolts the hole 9 yards I torqued the head 51 to 90 ft pounds and the sequence was 51 to 60 to 80 90 so I don't know if i should re torque head bolts or leave it? After doing some research we found that the torque converter is a recalled part on this model. - How much would it cost to get a new valve cover gasket put in? My car is leaking oil from the valve cover and it's burning on the exhaust. It smells really bad so I wanna get it fixed. I bought the new gasket about a year ago, but I don't have the time, or know how to put it in. How much can I expect to pay to have someone put the gasket in for me? Also how long of a job is it? I can't go that long without my car. It's a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 150000 miles on it.
