My car is making noise when I turn the wheel, what could be causing it?
I put power steering fluid in and double checked it to make sure it was full, which it is. But whenever I turn the wheel it still makes a terrible noise, i almost want to not drive it anymore just because of that noise. Anyone have an idea what it could be? Is it the power steering pump maybe?
Added (1). If it helps, my car is a 2001 Ford Mustang, FWD.
Added (2). The noise is coming from the front of the car.
Could be a cv axle bearing
Do you think it would help if you would at least say where the noise is coming from?
- Battery light came on in my car and steering wheel locked but the car was still running what could it be? I drive a 1999 Ford Taurus I was pulling out of a parking lot and the battery symbol popped up and my steering wheel locked but the car didn't shut off. I applied the breaks slowly and the battery symbol went away and my steering wheel unlocked. I do believe I have some issues with the "computer" in the car i was wondering if this was the cause
- 2001 Ford Ranger clicks once then won't turn over, and when key is turned off, it begins making a clicking relay noise under the dash? - 1 I've had this happen before, and the last couple times I just undid the battery and put it back in and it started right up. The battery has a charge, the alternator is new, and I tried jumping the battery just in case. So I know it's not that. I'm thinking it could be something in the ignition switch because sometimes I have to lift up on the shifter knob for it to register that it's in park and turn over. Any ideas?
- Left Rear Wheel noise when taking a slight right turn? I have a noise coming from my back of my Ford Focus, ( woo woo woo ) for a while now, it's driving me crazy, I can only hear it when I'm in second or third gear when turning slightly to the right, also i just realized that when in star moving or my car is reversing for a second or two I can hear a squeeking noise. I lifted the car and checked the wheel and is moving freely with no noise whatsoever, it looked ok. I kind of run out of ideas can anyone give any suggestions please!
- Drove over hill too fast and car is making a thumping noise? I have a 2003 ford focus. Today I was driving and went to make a turn fast and went up a hill and it hit my car and made a loud noise. When pulled up my car started making a thumping noise I thought that it was the tire but when I popped the good and accelerated while in drive the engine was moving up it's still running fine but moving and making a thump when accelerating. What could be wrong with it please help.
