Drove over hill too fast and car is making a thumping noise?

I have a 2003 ford focus. Today I was driving and went to make a turn fast and went up a hill and it hit my car and made a loud noise. When pulled up my car started making a thumping noise I thought that it was the tire but when I popped the good and accelerated while in drive the engine was moving up it's still running fine but moving and making a thump when accelerating. What could be wrong with it please help.

How much would it be to fix the mount… I know a mechanic personally so labor won't be overcharged

Sounds like a broken motor or tranny mount.

They just don't make em like they used to. I flew a 68 Catalina off the top of a hill and hit the bottom 50 feet or so later. Kinda pinched the exhaust pipe, but that was all. No seat belt and Barracuda was rocking in the 8 track. The good old days.

Yeah, busted engine mount. They do wear out, and the bump was the last straw that broke it.

Ask you mechanic friend for an estimate. They will have an idea of the parts cost and how long it will take. Shouldn't be serious however.
