Is this mustang worth it?
2004 ford mustang base model
Owner askin $3000
Has the following flaws:
Struts and shocks (all) needs replacement.
Both Lower Ball joints and Inner tie rods loose.
Small oil leak from oil pan gasket.
Is it worth it or is the owner asking for too much considering the damages?
Kelly Blue Book values a good conditioned mustang to be $3,600. If it is nice otherwise and in good working order that's probably not a bad price. I would find the cost of labor and parts it needs and deduce it from the valued price of $3,600.
A "mustang" is a wild horse. You need to consider basic rules of grammar. Ford. Proper name of the founder of this car company, Henry Ford. Your name is Mahar Lamar, not "maher lamar." Agreed? 2004 Ford Mustang, base model. Means V-6. No miles provide. Non report on the condition of the car. Mr. Mahar, are you sixteen years of age? It not your business to buy a car. You are a minor and can't sign contracts. Buying a car is not like buying smartphone. There are legalities and there are professional publications that can give an average market value of a vehicle based on zip code. This is based on reported sales and standard depreciation rates. No easy to assess the value without having data and some experience. You can use the online sources, The Kelly Blue Book and other sources can provide information as to prices. As o the items you list. You can get estimates by simply calling a local auto repair shop. Shocks and struts can easily be $125 each installed. The ball joints, etc. Can also be pricey to replace. The oil leak means a replacement of the compromised gasket. Most of these items can easily be over $1,000 to repair and replace. Just my estimate. Please get an adult to help you and do the rest of what I have recommended. Ford Mustangs are not known for being special cars. Far too many were built and at 10 years of age with over 125,000 miles, the wear and tear can be significant. Only a qualified mechanic can provide advise after a complete inspection and evaluation. Go and get what you need.
You do not provide enough information for me to determine the value. Need the exact model, V6 or V8, miles on the odometer, and condition. Look up the value of the car and then make your decision at NADA.

Start with it is not a desirable car. Why even would you want to replace any of that?- Just run out car
The base V6 is far less valuable than the v8. If the body is really nice and clean, the interior great and no modifications were done to the car. Maybe, But 10 years today is a lifetime in model changes etc. I also would admonish you to be happy with a base model V6 from the start. Costs are high trying to make it what you wanted from the start.
Depends on the trim (v6/gt) and the mileage and overall condition. Being a 2004, certain components can be expected to fail over time such as ball joints and tie rod ends. The seller is being honest unlike a lot of people. If its a GT with under 100k and in decent shape, take it and fix it up
- Is this Mustang worth $5500 dollars? I found this 1999 Ford Mustang V6 with 160,000 miles. The owner said that it is in great condition. He has have the car for the entire life of the car. But I don't think it's still worth $5500. He also said that the price is firm what should I do?
