Car overheats, AC is blowing warm, and gurgling noise from head gasket?
My 2000 Ford Mustang has been acting up ever since I replaced the upper radiator hose. The hose had a massive hole burned into it from God knows what. It has been overheating recently, and just now after a short drive there was a loud gurgling noise and leak from the head gasket area, right next to where the oil gets poured in. I'm not sure where to go from here, advice?
So the ac is not have enough of the freon or whatever in it, that is why its warm, i don't know about the rest
I would check the headgasket. Sometimes if they overheat they can deteriorate or be damaged and leak. The system is loosing pressure and that's why its gurgling, it's boiling and releasing steam. If you fix wherever the leak is at and it's losing pressure (likely head gasket seal) then the overheating problems will likely go away. The part is cheap, but it's a pain and not a very simple layman's type of job. Fairly advanced
- What should i know when replacing a head gasket? What should i know when replacing a head gasket on a 2005 Ford E250 4.6L V8, seems like an easy job. Was wondering if i should know any special i should do when taking off and putting it back on any help is appreciated
- What are reasons for a blow head gasket? I'm thinking of buying a 2001 Ford Taurus with 89K on it. The craigslist ad says it needs a head gasket
- How long will it take to put a head gasket in a 2000 ford taurus? Just need to know cuz my husband is workin on one for someone else so he can charge them the right price
- Bubbling/Gurgling sound a for a few seconds after car is shut off? Ok, so, I have a 2007 Ford Taurus SE. I just had to have the head gaskets replaced due to the engine overheating and blowing them, the car has been running fine since, but, now, any time I go 15 miles or more, and return home, for a few seconds after I shut off the car I can hear a Bubbling/Gurgling sound behind the glove box on the passenger side. I have read and some say it might be trapped air… Any ideas? Is this a serious problem?
