2005 Ford Mustang for my first car?

It is a 6 cylinder, Automatic, 17 mpg (not bad but could be better) I'm 16 and my dad found a great deal on one. Never has had any breakdowns, engine problems etc. The only thing we'll have to do is replace the tires due to the treading being worn. As far as that goes, it's good. QUESTION: I was wondering if that would be good for my first car? Is driving something that low to the ground easy or hard? What's the overall quality and satisfaction you've had with your mustang? (If you've owned one).

Financially speaking NO, mustangs are horrible first cars cause being a teenager w/ ZERO driving experience you (or your parents) will be forced to pay a fortune in insurance premiums

They are good cars, but unless your parents are going to pay the insurance for you, then no it's not a good first car. The insurance will be every bit of 400 dollars a month for you. Mustangs are expensive insurance for someone your age.

  • Is a 2005 Ford Taurus a good first car? My mom got it at a decent price and it looks okay. It runs good and everything. Is this a good first car for me? I just turned 16 and am going to get my license soon, I just need to get more hours of driving in.
  • Mustang or jetta for first car? Well I'm getting ready to buy my son his first car and he's really interested in ford mustangs(1999-2004) and volkswagen jettas(2000-2004). Which car is more reliable? Like will it last him a good amount of years? Which car has parts that are cheaper and easier to fix? I'm planning on getting him a base model of either car like just a v6 engine and stuff.
  • Is a Mustang a good first car? I'm a 16 year old male and I'm going to get a car when I get my license. My dad texted me and told me this might be my first car. The car is a 1998 Ford Mustang. It has the 3.8L V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. I don't know how to drive a manual. The car has 180,000 miles. It's burgundy with a gray cloth interior. It has a dual exhaust and Mustang GT rims. Is it a bad idea? My grampa has a 2000 Ranger that he said I can take any time.
