Is a Ford Mustang v6 2006 a good first car?
I'm a new driver and looking to get my first car and I've always had a thing for Mustangs so I figured I night as well get one I first fell in love with which happens to be the v6 2006. Not a really pricey car
But is it a good first car?
What's your budget? How many miles?
It's ok but you could get a much newer Corolla with lower miles for the same price. Also check how much your insurance is on the Mustang.
It will make you look 'cool' (like all Mustangs) It has had some 12 years of driving behind it. If the owners and drivers loved it and were kind to it then it should be good. You just have to worry that somebody might have thought their name was Bullitt and the mustang was a stunt car. You also have to worry that somebody along the way might have decided to save money and skip the oil change(s). Otherwise, it will be as good as any car.
Ask for an insurance quote first. You will likely change your mind.
It was back in 2006. Now, 12 years later, it's a good car to work on every weekend so it'll get you to work Monday through Friday.
If you are under 25 the insurance company will hit you hard for having a sports car. I suggest yo start with a Ford Focus SE or some other little car.
No
- Is a Mustang a good first car? I'm a 16 year old male and I'm going to get a car when I get my license. My dad texted me and told me this might be my first car. The car is a 1998 Ford Mustang. It has the 3.8L V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. I don't know how to drive a manual. The car has 180,000 miles. It's burgundy with a gray cloth interior. It has a dual exhaust and Mustang GT rims. Is it a bad idea? My grampa has a 2000 Ranger that he said I can take any time.
- Is a 2005-07 Ford Mustang a good first car for a guy? I'm 15 and getting my permit soon. I want to have a car for practice so I was thinking of getting a little Pontiac g6 to practice on and when I feel like I've progressed to maybe get a 2005-07 mustang! Good idea or no? Please give your thoughts. You can also tell me other good cars but no camrys or civics (not into them).
- Is 121,000 miles good for a ford mustang that was made in 2006? I'm looking for a used car and was wondering if this is decent just to get me from university and back (home) i live around an hour away.
- I'm in high school and about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car So far I have looked into ford mustangs, I have a choice between a 2007 ford mustang gt with a 8 cylinder motor with automatic transmission, or I can get a 2013 mustang v6. My question is which of the two cars is a faster and louder car cause I would like to show it off and have heads turn by its engine as I drive off on the street. Thank you very much about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car?
