Is there any specific transmission oil for ford 1998?
Is there any specific transmission oil for ford 1998? - 1
Which Ford? Manual or automatic?
Yes there's. Have them look it up for you at the auto parts store.
MERCON /DEXTRON is what's recommended CVT trans DO NOT USE MERCON /DEXTRON they use special fluid specifically for CVT trans. Just make sure its a CVT ( which i don't think it is but it depends next time state the model with the year ) Pull the DIP stick for the trans it will or should say the type necessary for your car
If you pull your dip stick it will say on it dexron i believ is the correct oil for ford products
Always make sure you get the right fluid. What works in one transmission is the wrong type for a different transmission. There's not even a set rule now on automatic or manual (I also think that was the case in 1998).

- Need help finding a specific rear bumper I know this is a weird thing to ask but I was searching eBay for a new spoiler for my mustang and found this bumper in the thumbnail and fell in love with it. http://m.ebay.com/...2010818886 Problem is I can't find this bumper anywhere. If anyone can help me out with my search or link me to it that would be amazing.
- Ford focus c max filled up oil after a week dipstick shows no oil, no burning smell no weird noises no apparent leaks. Any ideas? Ford focus c max filled up oil after a week dipstick shows no oil, no burning smell no weird noises no apparent leaks… Any ideas?
- Can a dial torque wrench be used in same situation as a click torque wrench? Or are the used in specific applications? I'm looking to get a torque wrench to fasten the valve cover on my Ford F-150. Being new to all this I automatically started looking at click wrenches. But I have seen some higher brand dial wrenches for decent prices also. Can I use dial? Or stick with click?(Digital/high tech is out of my price range) Thanks.
- Car leaking oil, not sure if its from oil filter or transmission? So I have a 1998 Ford windstar that broke down because the transmission just basically gave up on it. Anyway, before it broke down we gave it an oil change and it wasn't leaking any oil. After the transmission gave up, a couple months afterwards, it starts to leak oil. Could this be from the transmission or the oil filter? By the way, I know absolutely nothing about cars.
