Is a ford excursion worth it?
I'm looking to buy a 2000 to 2005 Ford excursion diesel. Is it worth it getting it? What's the MPG I can expect from it?
Gas is so cheap right now. Why put up with the stink and noise of a diesel?

Gas V8 = 9-13 MPG
Gas V10 = 8-12 MPG
7.3L Diesel = 12-17 MPG
6.0L Diesel = 11-16 MPG
- Tow capacity on a 2003 Ford Excursion 6.0 diesel? I have a 6.0 diesel excursion and would like to know the tow capacity. It has a new torque converter, a new turbo, egr delete, a 4 inch exhaust, a 6 inch all suspension lift, and 38x16.5 tires.
- Does the Ford Excursion diesel really get 18 mpg? I'm thinking about getting a Ford Excursion Powerstroke diesel. I read somewhere that they can get up to 18 mpg city. Is this really true? I forgot about fuel economy factors such as driving habits and weather. Can it really get mid-upper teens in the city? I forgot 4WD.
- Camping in a ford excursion air conditioning solutions? I'm going to be going camping in my ford excursion in the near future. I'm planning on using the back cargo space for a air mattress. But it is important to maintain comfortable temperatures inside the vehicle over night. Does anyone have any AC solutions?
- 2000 ford excursion 7.3 L diesel won't start? We replaced injector cups, under valve wiring harness both sides. New starter. Batteries are good and charged. I'm at a loss as to what it could be. Any suggestions would be great.
