Tow capacity on a 2003 Ford Excursion 6.0 diesel?

I have a 6.0 diesel excursion and would like to know the tow capacity. It has a new torque converter, a new turbo, egr delete, a 4 inch exhaust, a 6 inch all suspension lift, and 38x16.5 tires.Tow capacity on a 2003 Ford Excursion 6.0 diesel

All that and the towing capacity hasn't moved a pound. Read the owners manual.

If you didn't regaer after the lift and tires, your towing capacity has been reduced considerably. Also you're going to need a drop down hitch as well.

Stock your vehicle was rated to tow 11,000 pounds. Without regearing you now have effectively a 3.03 axle ratio (with stock sized tires it's 3,73). That would reduce the towing capacity by at least 30% possibly more. Realistically, 7000 pounds is going to be the practical limit.

It should be the same as a "stock" F-250. But since you jacked it up and threw the gear ratio off, a Toyota Tacoma could pull more than you now. But don't get me wrong. I like lifted trucks, there just not useful to pull anything.

6.0 powerstrokes are ****. I used to have one. Now I have the 7.3. I never knew how much power I was missing out on.

But hey, don't get me wrong. That's a good looking excursion.
