Camping in a ford excursion air conditioning solutions?

I'm going to be going camping in my ford excursion in the near future. I'm planning on using the back cargo space for a air mattress. But it is important to maintain comfortable temperatures inside the vehicle over night. Does anyone have any AC solutions?

Open a window!
Problem solved!

Yacht supply firms retail solar and wind power options.
Buy a cool breeze, charge cellular, and power laptop.

Agreeably you have two choices, run the motor and heater/ac or open a window. If you choose the open window method you can make a screen cover to keep the bugs out. You can also use a battery operated fan to cycle in/out air there are also cigerette adapter verisions available at many after market car supply stores.

Another option is the car tent where the tent attaches to the back end of the suv and you just open up the back door.

Yes. You need to install a shell over the cargo bed. Hire a custom van outfitter to cut a hole in the ceiling of the shell for the RV 12-volt air conditioner. Install an electrical generator to charge a bank of batteries that you must mount on the truck. Then, you can live in air-conditioned comfort in your truck.
