I have a ford 2001 ford Galaxy 2.3 petrol needing
Electric Windows will only work from the the drivers side.
I checked the wiring within the doors and repaired any broken wires but still nothing.
The drivers switch has a child lock for the window but this doesn't make a difference if on or off.
Is the anything els I can check?
Could it be the drivers switch at fault?
Looking for some simple tests I can check before I put money in to this.
Cheers Paul
I'd suspect the child lock switch may be bad which stops power to the other window switches… Try testing that switch/wiring and see if you get power in and out when switch is turned on or off. If you get power in but no power out in off position, then the switch is bad. If you do get power in and out, then likely other wiring issues that need to be tracked down.

- Ford KA keeps needing jump starting? I have a 55 plate Ford KA, I went to turn it on this morning and the battery was flat, got it jump started and drove it round for around 20 mins fine, went to turn it on again and it needed jump starting again, drove it round for a further 2 hours thinking it would sort it, went to turn it on again and it needed jump starting AGAIN. Clearly a car that needs jump starting 3 times in a day has something wrong with it but what could be causing this? Does it need a new battery?
- Ford Galaxy 2001 2.3 petrol window problem? All the window will only work from the drivers door but not individually The drivers switch has a child lock on it but it doesn't make any difference if it's on or off. Any help would be appreciated.
- Owner of 2003 ford focus, car keeps needing a jump. Last time I did when the cables came off the car shut off? The car lasted a couple of days the last time I jumped it. I believe It's just my battery but how would I know it has anything to do with my accelerator as well?
