How to get more bass out of my car stereo?

I drive 2 company cars at my work (Ford FG Ute & Hyundai i Load) & both vehicles would have the best.sound systems found standard in any other car I've driven. Unfortunately I have drive home in my car. I I.installed a Sony 50w x 4 CD that fails to satisfy my appetite for rich, clear deep bass. Do these company vehicles have amps as well? I think not.

WHEN DEALING WITH any FREQUENCIES, BUT ESPESIALLY BASS, SPEAKERS PLAY A huge rOLE. TRY USING THE LAREGEST SPEAKER WITH THE HEAVIEST MAGNET THAT YOU CAN AFFORD AND MOUNT WITH FEW PROBLEMS. ALSO ADDING A GRAPHIC EQUALIZER AND RAISING THE LEVEL OF THE LOWEST FREQUENCY TO A POINT YOU LIKE, SHOULD HANDLE ANY PROBLEM. If MONEY ALLOWS ADDING A woofer(A LARGE ENCLOSED SPEAKER WITH IT'S OWN POWER SYSTEM JUST ABOUT COVERS IT all. BLESS YOU, bAMA bARRY 50.

What you need is a subwoofer my friend. There are a few options but if you want really clear tight bass you need a sealed enclosure subwoofer. The other option is ported (I run ported myself at the moment) ported subs are louder, but often are a little bit sloppier with the bass response and do not sound as clear. That's not to say that ported won't sound good, because it will.

Most factory sound systems won't have separate amplifiers but you will often find they are enough to power the speakers themselves. If you get yourself a subwoofer you can set up what is called a high pass filter, it's an optional setting on any good head unit. What that does is stops your speakers trying to play tbe low frequencies, leaving it to the sub to play. If you try to pump low frequency bass out of your standard speakers they will sound distorted. This high pass filter will remove that distortion and the sub will add the bass. The end result is beautiful sound.

  • Can i get out of a ford lease early? Or get a new car early? After my 2004 GTO broke down, i was forced to lease a 2014 Focus, for 3 years and had to get extended miles. Its been about 5 months since i've had the car and so far i hate it. Slow, cheaply made, stereo is terrible, no traction in winter, i don't like it at all. Is there any chance of getting out of the lease early or turning it in without hurting my credit, or even turning it in to lease a different car. Possibly a truck or taurus. Has anyone else been in this situation?

  • How to get more HP out of a 302 Ford? I have a 302 Ford in my 1970 Gran Torino GT. It's linked up to a C-4 Transmission. I'm wondering what mods I could put on it to get more hp. It already has Flowmaster 44s for exhaust, and an Edelbrock 500cfm carb. I don't want turbos, but might be considering a Blower in the future. My budget is medium. What cam should I use? Different spark plugs? Etc.
