Where to mount a cobra 25ltd classic cb in a 2010 ford fusion?

I just bought a cobra cb radio, but don't know where to mount it. My car is some what small, it's an auto matic with the auto shifter in between the front seats. The only place I may be only to mount it is up on top of the dash where I have a flip up storage compartment. Where should I properly mount it and how should I wire it with out shorting out something or tearing up my car, my wife would kill me if I did.

This is really stupid, but you could remove you rearview mirror and mount it there. We usually mounted CB's under the dash, but I know what your saying about the transmission hump getting in the way. Glove box is an alternative.

Hard wire it directly to the battery. Don't try to tie into another circuit. Have you figured out how and where to run the antenna wire?

Put it in your center console with a bracket then run the wire to wherever you want your antenna to go, or you could mount it on the dash doing the same thing with the wire to the antenna… If you know what y'all are doing, it could be done within an hour or less

What I do is mount it on the back of the center arm console, so basically it's in the back seat, I can still reach it for the knobs, but once you have the channel selected and it all set up, you don't really need to see it or mess with it, just have the mic pulled up toward you.

That is really the only place, for that little car you might have wanted to get a uniden 510xl, those are very good little radios and are small.
