Were car oil leak is coming from?

I have a 2007 Ford fusion 6 cylinder. I've had the oil pan gasket and pan, valve cover gasket and oil pressure sensor replaced. Now this dumb car is leaking oil again. Yes all was done at a professional auto shop. Does anyone know what else it could be leaking from? I'm just asking because, I'm tired of putting money in this car.

Is it the motor or possibly the power steering lines or transmission cooler lines?

Check the oil seals where the drive shafts enter the transmission case.

First, make sure it isn't transmission fluid or power steering fluid. When you've eliminated that and are sure the things you've had fixed aren't leaking, I'd suspect either the front or rear crankshaft seal. The front leaks from the timing cover. TAhe rear will leak out of the transmission bellhousing. Both are a huge pain and not inexpensive to fix on that car if you can't do it yourself. Next time you buy a used vehicle it would be wise to pay to have it professionally inspected first

I can't really tell from where I'm sitting. Make sure the PCV system is working properly

Main bearing seals are a possibility.

Front seal and rear main seals can leak engine oil. Bad head gaskets can leak oil. That's starting to talk some $$$.

We don't know where your oil leak is. You have the car. Your mechanic had the car.

If you park the car on a clean place for a while, does oil appear to have dripped? If yes, the location of the spot is related to the location of the leak.

A hoist is helpful to look at everything from under the car. Leaking oil leaves a trail.

If there's no visible leaking, then perhaps the engine is burning the oil.

All I can say is, some things were changed, but the leak remains. Mechanical detective work is necessary.

With out seeing it NO WAY: It could be front oil seal, rear oil seal, value cover, oil filter they do leak sometimes if the surface is not clean when installed, oil pan gasket, There are many places to check, so start checking from the bottom up.

  • Oil leak ford mondeo mk3? I have a ford mondeo mk3, over the last few weeks I have had to keep on filling it up with oil. I have to add about a ltr every 100 miles. I can't see a leak and no oil patches and I have no smoke coming out the back. I'm also using alot of coolant i'm guessing cause when the oils low it gets hotter. Any ideas
  • My 2000 Ford Windstar has a coolant leak. What could be causing it to leak? It has two leaks. One is from the passenger side near the front tire and the second is right below the driver's seat. I have to replace the coolant after I have had the heater on for a bit. I never have it on for more than 15 min. Not because the coolant runs out in that time but I just don't use it for long. I took it to the mechanic and he stated it was the "lower intake manifold gasket". I'm asking if anyone has any other ideas because that repair is pretty pricey.
