What is wrong with my 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 car door and what do I need to fix it?

I recently bought a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 off a good friend of mine. A huge pet peeve is the driver side door. It opens fine from the inside. It won't open from the outside. I have to unlock and open the passenger side, stretch over to the drivers side, open the door, then walk over and enter the drivers side. It closes fine too. Its a bit harder to lock than the passengers side too if that makes any difference. I would like to fix it myself as it will cost alot of money to get it fixed at a car shop. I just want to know if anyone has a clue to what is wrong with the handle and if I should order a new handle on eBay (if you could provide a link to get what I need too, you get a gold star:3)

This is my first car.

Should I buy new or used diesel?

So I made a mistake by buying a new Ford focus st and now I want to get rid of it for a truck, I'm taking a big loss but I've accepted it.

I want to get a diesel and a boat.

I have found 2 options I like:
2006 2500 cummins with 98k miles in good shape for 28k

OR

2016 Ram 2500 Cummins for 43k new

The 06 is cheaper but 10 years old. Would it be worth it in the long run to just get the new?

How would you rank these cars?

I'm looking to buy a 2016 small sedan. What would be your top 3? This is my current preference order

-Volksagen Jetta
-Mazda3
-Chevy Cruze
-Honda Civic
-Ford Focus
-Hyundai Elantra

Gain more performance from a Ford Focus?

I just bought a 2000 Ford Focus SE, and I was wondering what all modifications I could do to gain a little bit more performance?

It's running the 2.0 16v DOHC engine, which I know is normally a decently powerful engine, but it seems to have less power then my old 94 Nissan Sentra that had a 1.6 DOCH in it.

I was told by a friend who is a Ford Tech at a garage that the computers in Focus's are designed for less power because it gives better fuel economy. But I would rather have a bit more power and sacrifice some fuel mileage. So far, I've only given it a tune-up, New plugs (Bosch Plat 4's Supposedly the guy at the autostore said they will give a little bit more combustion which will raise performance ever so slightly. If anyone knows better plugs lemme know.) New wires, (Don't remember the name, but they were 8.5mm.), new fuel filter, and new oil and oil filter.

I haven't messed with the intake yet, because I know sometimes getting a better intake would increase performance. But I'm not sure what to look for, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was told about getting a "Cat-Back" exhaust and a header for it. I did some looking around and saw some catback systems for like $600… Which is a little bit more then I was expecting, but I might go that route if I get some performance out of it.

Other then that, I don't really know what else I could do. I was reading about chips that change the computer in it and boost performance but I couldn't find anything for under a grand which I was hoping I wouldn't have to pay that much. Lol.

In short if you don't want to read anything,

Suggestions on Air Intake/Filter,
Exhaust?
Is there better plugs then Bosch Plat 4s?
Any other minor things I can do for performance boost?
Possibly a "computer chip" thing?

If anyone has any suggestions, or links to sites that offer the parts you are suggesting, it would be greatly appreciated.

How to make my 2014 Ford Focus SE faster? - 1

I just want some extra speed, is there any turbo kits that can go on my car? If so what kind should I get? Or what else could I do to my car to make it faster?
I'm not interested in trading it in for a different car, I want this car to be fast.

How to maximize horsepower in my 2013 ford focus SE?

Listen, I have a 2013 ford focus SE with 160 hp stock. I'm trying to boost my hp up to improve performance. I have already got a injen cold air intake. I need other ways that arent to hard to do, or exspensive. I don't want to make my car look dumb, so don't say "add a cool loud exhaust and a spoiler." i'm not trying to make a not fast car, totally fast. Just boost the performance. So please, i'm looking for simple things i can do. The injen air intake was 270$ and is said to add 10 HP and boost fuel economy. PICKING BEST ANSWER FOR 10 POINTS.
