My 2007 Ford focus ran out of oil now it won't start why? - 1
Probably seized up the engine. If that's the case, you will need to rebuild the engine or a new one.
Without oil, the parts inside the engine get hot and weld themselves together. Or the aluminum parts just melt away.
THe engine may have seized up from over heating. You may need a new engine.
Get a socket that fits on the crankshaft pulley nut, attach a big breaker bar to the socket and try to turn the engine clockwise. If you can't turn it, the engine has seized and you need a new engine.
Check the oil on your car everyday, once a week at the minimum.
Because the engine is ruined.
The engine has seized. Exchange engine needed. Oil is cheaper than engines as you will discover.
After ignoring the low oil pressure warning light or noticing the oil pressure dropping as by the time either came on the engine was at the early stages of being ruined as you learn the hard way oil and filters are considerably cheaper than a new engine you are on the hook for as you now check the oil level more frequently.
Hi it would suggest the engine is now seized up and you need a new engine.
- Why did my car start and die when put into gear? Now it won't start at all? It's a cold winter day (below zero) Car started right up! I let it run for about 2 minutes, I put it in gear and it just died. I figured it's cold out, not real surprising, but when I tried to start it again, it won't start! Turns over fine but engie won't start! Any ideas? 2003 Ford Taurus 3.0L
- Ford focus TDCI 2007 won't start? I had a blowing injector on my focus and decided to replace the part. I followed my Haynes manual and managed to complete the job with ease. Issue is that I didn't disconnect the battery like it said. Now the issue is that the car won't start as I think the engine management is saying there's a fault on the fuel system. I don't know what to do now I've tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting so it re-starts the engine management system but it didn't work!
- Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI was popping out of 5th gear now won't go into any gear! Is it Clutch or Gearbox? The car which is a 2002 was jumping out of 5th gear into neutral when travelling at 60mph. Now it won't go into any gear and I can only start the car with the clutch pedal pressed in and when I release the clutch pedal with the gear stick in neutral the car stalls. The gear stick will literally not go into any gear. I think I need to find a used gearbox and I think the clutch is fine. What do you think?
