Why did my car start and die when put into gear? Now it won't start at all?

It's a cold winter day (below zero)
Car started right up! I let it run for about 2 minutes, I put it in gear and it just died. I figured it's cold out, not real surprising, but when I tried to start it again, it won't start! Turns over fine but engie won't start!
Any ideas?

It's possible you flooded the carburetor or the gas line is frozen and gas isn't getting to the carburetor. Do not keep trying to start the car until your battery dies. Let the car sit about an hour and try again. If not, try some gas line antifreeze and let it sit over night or just wait until weather is above freezing.

It's not throwing a code, and it's fuel injected… Never touched the gas.
Ran great till I put it in drive… Now it just turns over and won't start.

I had a 2001 Taurus do that last winter. The fuel pump died. I'm sure there are other possible causes, but that was what happened in my case.

Likely a bad crank sensor or the fuel pump has failed. If you are not a DIY person get it towed. If you are an amateur mechanic, check for trouble codes. Spray starting fluid on the intake and try to start. Car starts and dies, check fuel pressure with a gauge while cranking. Car does not start, check for spark.
