Why did my 2000 Ford Windstar just blow all off the tranny fluid out. But now its not leaking anything?
I drove it with a trailer attached all day then I dropped the trailer off and drove home. When a was turning on to my street the car violently shuck but kept going I pulled into my drive way and looked under my car and big puddle of tranny fluid everywhere. So I filled it up this morning and drove it 75 miles and when I got back I was still full on fluid and nothing was leaking. So WHY?
Over heated the transmission. Fluid had to go some where. Didn't come out the transmission breather so came out the front seal area. Bushing that is part of the torque converter that rides on the stator is worn. This will eventually start leaking full time. Find shop at ATRA.COM for more help

If it ain't can anyone help me out with a link showing information like this but about a 2000 model? Thanks. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t11808484-2003_ford_windstar_fuse_box_diagram
- Why did my Ford E350 box truck start leaking transmission fluid? So I left my truck and didn't drive it for about a week or two and 2 days ago I noticed a huge leak that came from the transmission. I'm really curious as to why it happened since I didn't drive it for these two weeks and it happened just recently. What is going on? Bad seals? Hot weather made it start seeping through? I checked the fluid levels and they look fine to me. Advice?
