I have a mrk 1 ford focus and I'm trying to replace the power steering rack I'm having problems any

The pipes are difficult to budge please help

When I did this job on my focus I got 1 pipe out without any problems, the other pipe would not budge even after hours of trying not wanting to spend a fortune replacing the pipes as well I carefully ground away the aluminium around the pipe with an electric file.

  • One side of the power steering rack line on this 91 Ford Taurus is disconnected. Why, and what to do? The power steering rack in my Ford Taurus has a metal rack line that is just laying there unconnected on the front left wheel side of the rack and pinion. Did it just pop out a long time ago? It looks like its been laying there unconnected forever. It seems connected fine on the right hand side, next to the bellows. If I try to plug it back into the fitting for it, will it stay put this time?
  • My '06 Ford Taurus is having what i'm assuming transmission problems, any ideas? The other day while attempting to back up a small slope, my engine revved up and a message came on the info area of my dash saying to check the transmission. I turned off the car, turned it on and the check engine light was on. I go home and check the trans fluid and it's full. The next day I start my car and the check engine light is off, but now my car shakes on heavy acceleration and gear changes. I'm not a car person. Any ideas?
  • If my power steering pump and pulley break, is there any other parts I may have to potentially replace? Last night when I was driving, my power steering pump busted and also broke my power steering pulley. I have a 2002 ford Taurus. In the process of the pulley breaking off, the serpentine belt came off. It is still on the car so I just have to re position it once the new pulley is on. My question is through this incident, could anything else have broken? I just did a bypass pulley for the AC compressor last week. And I also replaced the serpentine belt last week.
  • Stiff power steering problems? My car has been giving me some steering problems lately. When i start the car in the morning, the steering feels normal and light. But after driving for a small period of time, it becomes really heavy and difficult to use 1 handed. Any reason as to what could cause this? PS. The car is a 2004 Ford Falcon(Australia) Cheers, Reece
