My '06 Ford Taurus is having what i'm assuming transmission problems, any ideas?
The other day while attempting to back up a small slope, my engine revved up and a message came on the info area of my dash saying to check the transmission. I turned off the car, turned it on and the check engine light was on. I go home and check the trans fluid and it's full. The next day I start my car and the check engine light is off, but now my car shakes on heavy acceleration and gear changes. I'm not a car person. Any ideas?
Take it to the shop for diagnosis - not sure what else a non-car person or a non-transmission mechanic type person is going to do anyway- you did what you could by checking the trans fluid…
Torque converter is going out.
- My buddy has a 99 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 that is leaking oil from rear passenger wheel. Any ideas on why? The brake cover is not pushed all the way against the hub. There's a half inch gap between them. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. So it has nothing to do with the wheel bearing?
- I have a ford falcon ef 1995 model and I'm having problems with my smart lock? It won't flash on the dash and it don't recognise the remote key pad the interior lights won't turn on the motor turns over but it won't start I need help with this.

- Having alternator problems? My battery was going dead, and I had it checked and was told it was the alternator. I bought a new one, received a jump so i could take it to be repaired, and the engine began revving up and down real fast and then died out. It had never fone this before. It is a 2002 Ford Escort.
