It will lubricate, but you will use a lot of oil. So check the dipstick frequently. When you are down a quart, pour in quart of the 5w30 correct oil. When you finally get mileage for an oil change, change it to the correct oil and filter.

What does Ford recommend? If you live where it gets COLD, thinner is better. If you live where it gets HOT, stick with the 5W30.

What does it say on the damn oil filler cap?!

My 2004 Focus has a sticker that ways 5W-20. What does the oil sticker day on your car. It should be under the hood somewhere. But then mine has the 2.3 engine which differs from the 2.0 in most Focus models that year.
