Ford Focus Fuel Pump replaced but car dies now?

My 2001 Ford Focus SE would sputter and stop running after it was running a while or if it was hot outside, and wouldnt start again for about an hour or so. I thought it was the fuel pump but got it replaced with a brand new one but now my car starts and then goes up and down and dies. I can't even drive it 10 feet now without it dying. What could be wrong with it?

I don't understand how it would make my car undriveable with a BRAND NEW fuel pump when it drove fine unless I over ran it. Now it won't even get down the street. Any mechanics out there?

Moreover, it is easier to find the correct focus, and only by adjusting the fine adjsutments, one can easily view the specimen in the HPO…

(I assume that LPO~Light Power Objective; and the question was:
Why do we need to focus specimen under the LPO first before focusing under the High PO? ) Just throwing a fuel pump at the problem which was never diagnosed to begin with is a sure waste of money! There a a dozen or more things that could cause hard starting. You need a mechanic with a $2000 scan tool to read the engine data to see if all the sensors are working with in spec. This is nothing but a troll asking multiple questions about a ford focus, Yesterday it was all about threats form other people Ford (Found On Road Dead)

Common possible causes:
IAC (Idle Air Control) Valve
Faulty air flow sensor
Crankshaft position sensor
Throttle position sensor
Fuel pump and filter
EXTREMELY clogged air filter.
Clogged exhaust/bad catalytic converter

and literally hundreds more…

It's a 2001, so it's equipped with OBD-II. A check engine light should be lit on your instrument cluster. You need to find a way to have someone read the codes with a scanner to help narrow it down. There's really no way to diagnose it on here without being able to take a proper look at it.
