What is bad mileage for a 2003 Ford Focus?
It's a 2003 Ford Focus it's in fair condition the radio doesn't work but it can be fixed, and its mileage is 219000? Is that too high?
No
That is very high, but it gets down to maintenance records and price.
NO.
Yes. 2008 and newer are great cars. Before that, the Focus wasn't very high quality and that many miles is too many.
Hithe radio can be replaced by an after market unit. The least of your problems with car that has done twice the expect life of a ford focus.
At the right price, and if your mechanic gives it a thumbs up after a pre-purchase inspection (the $100 or so can save you thousands) it should be good for at least five more years of service.$500 is about right for a car with over 200K miles on it but if you are paying $100 per year for a car you are doing great.
An important point is the engine used. If it either version of the 2.0L engine (SOHC or DOHC in the 2003) the timing belt probably needs replacement, a $500 or so expense that can't wait. The 2.3L engine does not use a timing belt.
- My truck gets 23mpg, is this good or bad gas mileage? My daily driver is a 2003 Ford Ranger single cab, great truck and al for mel. It's a 4 banger, and I recently decided to calculate and find out how many miles per gallon it gets and it came out tp 23 miles per gallon, and I rarely drive on the interstate either. If that matters. Is my truck good on gas or is it a guzzler in your opinion?
- Bad fuel pump or bad Mass Airflow sensor? My truck us having very hard time starting up. It cranks over, putters and shakes really bad then dies. Once it finally becomes drivable, it almost stalls when accelerating from a stop or turning right Could this be a bad fuel pump, bad MAF, or another failing part? Truck is a 2006 ford ranger
- Is High Mileage on a Used Car a Bad Thing? I'm looking into buying a used 1989 Ford Mustang for $3,195. The mileage on it is 89000. I'm not sure if the mileage is a bad thing or if it should affect my purchase.
- 2000 V6 ford mustang bad gas mileage? So my Ford Mustang its eating away gas kinda fast for my understanding, i do around 6.5 miles to work and the same back to the house but for some reason its going kind of fast. To put it into perspective i filled up my tank last night and it has gone through a quarter of the tank in less than a day, my calculations is that it'll be by half of tank tomorrow. So for those car experts out there can you give me a suggestion about what could the problem be?
