2000 V6 ford mustang bad gas mileage?
So my Ford Mustang its eating away gas kinda fast for my understanding, i do around 6.5 miles to work and the same back to the house but for some reason its going kind of fast. To put it into perspective i filled up my tank last night and it has gone through a quarter of the tank in less than a day, my calculations is that it'll be by half of tank tomorrow. So for those car experts out there can you give me a suggestion about what could the problem be?
Could have bad gauge, bad sending unit. If you want to know what your mileage is do it the old fashioned way. Write down your mileage when you fill it up. When you fill it up again, divide miles by gallons, gives you mileage. Odds are your fuel float in your tank messed up
- My truck gets 23mpg, is this good or bad gas mileage? My daily driver is a 2003 Ford Ranger single cab, great truck and al for mel. It's a 4 banger, and I recently decided to calculate and find out how many miles per gallon it gets and it came out tp 23 miles per gallon, and I rarely drive on the interstate either. If that matters. Is my truck good on gas or is it a guzzler in your opinion?
- Is High Mileage on a Used Car a Bad Thing? I'm looking into buying a used 1989 Ford Mustang for $3,195. The mileage on it is 89000. I'm not sure if the mileage is a bad thing or if it should affect my purchase.
- Bad smell when I floor the gas pedal, 2014 ford mustang v6 with 9000km? Its been like this for awhile now but when i floor the gas pedal (from a stop or while moving) there's a bad smell coming from the exhaust, I can't smell anything from inside the car but my friends tell me when they're behind me. They say it smells like burning, however I check the oil regularly and it still has 50% life. Btw I only do this for short distance never holding it. The dealership told me just not to floor it and it won't do it. Wasn't much help.
- Pennzoil High Mileage vs Castrol GTX High Mileage? My local auto store has 5 quarts of Pennzoil High Mileage for 16.99, but 5 quarts of Castrol GTX High Mileage on sale for 9.99$. Which one is better, or does it not even matter and I should just get the cheaper one? It's going in a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 155*** miles on it.
