2005 Ford Five Hundred locked out of car
My battery died on my car so I'm trying to replace it but in the process locked the keys inside of my car. My trunk is open but I can't find a release for the back seats. Since battery is dead the keyless entry doesn't work.
How can I get into my car to get my keys?
Not sure on the 500 model. On the Ford Focus there are two knobs at the top of the trunk opening near the outer edge of the seatback, look there.
1) Everyone should have a spare key somewhere: at home, at parents house, at a trusted friends house.
2) Do you have road service through your insurance or AAA or other company? Give them a call it should be covered in full.
3) If not. Call a locksmith or auto lockout service and be prepared to pay.
4) Get a spare key made and keep it somewhere.
