I have a 2007 Ford Five hundred that when I shift when it's off it moves. But when I turn the car on & shift it won't move
It's a TBS transmission. It's not making any noise either. I was told it could be computer on the transmission?
You seem to be saying that the car moves when the engine is off - - - - but won't move with the engine running?
If that's the case, sounds like you will need to have it towed to a repair facility.
BTW: what's a "TBS transmission"… Mine has a CVT - am not familiar with the TBS.
Do you put your foot on the brake after starting the engine? Try it, then try shifting. Sounds more like a safety interlock to me…
