My dealership told me to change my oil at 10,000 miles on my brand new ford fiesta?
I have a 2013 ford fiesta and my dealership told me that my car only needs to be changed every 10,000 miles.so before my first oil change, I waited til 10,000 miles. Then I was told that my dealership was wrong and now i've been doing it after every 3,000 miles. But i'm wonderin since I changed it after the first 10,000 miles, could that have messed up my engine somehow? It was brand new when I got it. Only had 25 miles on it
OIL CHANGE intervals are due to TWO things! OIL QUALITY and refining is one, and ALSO the precision of the INJECTION system used! BAD CHEAP OIL should NEVER be used in your FIESTA! You can go ONE FULL YEAR on MOBIL ONE 0W-20 or 0W-30 oil and AMSOIL is good for 25k miles between changes! WHY IS THIS! The REFINING method is SYNTHETIC and they are able to tailor MOLECULES into being LONG CHAINS! These oils do NOT break down like REG wax based oils do! They hold CARBON in the FLUID and your engine parts do NOT get dirty at ALL! PENNZOIL ULTRA is good for a 15 year 500k miles OIL WARRANTY! It is ONE of my BIGGEST PEEVES! VALVOLINE is WAX based sludge making oil that NO factory anywhere will use it! It may be FINE for GM Old PUSH ROD engines (but NOT really) to change oil at 3000 miles is a FULL WASTE OF MONEY on any newer car! All CARS now need SYNTHETIC OIL to keep the VARIABLE VALVE timing working right and SLDUGE and TAR free! MODERN SYNTHETIC OILS are good for FOUR to FIVE TIMES LONGER and SAFER as well! A 10k oil change interval is NORMAL for many car engine, but it REQUIRES Only certain oils and even CERTAIN BRANDS of oil! Ford uses CONOCO PHILLIPS oil, which is OKAY! MOBIL ONE 0W series oil will reduce friction, make NO tar or sludge, and SAVE ON GAS! It CLEANS as you drive it! - 2012 Ford Fiesta has no air pressure, brand new air filter? Not sure what's going on with the wife's car. Hot as hell outside but her ac blows like it's on the lowest setting when it's on full blast. I changed her air filter but it didn't help at all. Do these have a cabin air filter? I tried finding out online but can't locate it from the passengers side where they say it is.
- Can I take my used car from a used car dealership, to the name brand dealership? I have a 2002 ford explorer, and the fuel level gauge is not working. Do I take it to a regular mechanic, or can I go to a ford dealership? or is there a way to do it myself?
