Ford fiesta spark plug issues?
I have been to garage 4 times for faulty spark plugs that come loose. I have called out RAC this evening who were helpful. They point out that there was a plastic case on the spark plug that was preventing a good connection for the spark plug, resulting in then frequently coming loose and misfiring.
My issue is that I have checked the other spark plug issues and no one has mentioned plastic covers, and this sounds a very big schoolboy error for a national chain of garages!
I don't doubt what the rac tell me, but if someone could say if it has happened to them or if this is the first they have heard of it, it would give me more weight to the potential argument I will be having on monday with the garage!
Thanks in advance for any help offered. I will refrain from naming garage at this stage in case I'm wrong.
Wrong size plug. Mm or inches
- 2004 ford taurus 3.0L v6 OHV spark plug firing order? 2004 ford taurus 3.0l v6 ohv engine firing order? I'm very new to the car world for starters, so bear with me. I was wondering what the firing order is for my 2004 Ford Taurus 3.0L-V6 OHV engine? And also, how do i read the firing order? I understand cable one will go to slot one on the coil but where do the spark plug end of the cables go? Ie, does it go in the front of the engine in the middle or right side? Any help is greatly appreciated!
- I have a 1976 Ford F150 with a 390 engine. Can anyone tell me what the spark plug gap should be? Don't answer if you don't know. And don't answer if you are just trying to be a wise guy.
- 1999 ford f150 v6 rough idle and spark plug questipn? My 99 Ford f150 is a v6 and I'm having a rough idea or a miss while my foots on the brake and its in gear it idles like it wants to die. I just noticed the 3 plug wired on the passenger side were burnt so I imagine its spark knocking. But my question is what plugs should I use and is this my only problem causing the rough idle? But should I go with e3s?
- On 2002 ford explorer 4.6l the spark plug is drowning in fluid? Happen before on rear cylinder #4 w/ antifreeze from crack in upper intake manifold drowning out the spark plug. So I replaced it, now #2 is doing it, but it seems more like water than antifreeze. It does seem to happen when wet or rainy out. Could it be possible to get that much water up to the top of the engine to settle around my worn out seal for a spark plug boot?
