On 2002 ford explorer 4.6l the spark plug is drowning in fluid?
Happen before on rear cylinder #4 w/ antifreeze from crack in upper intake manifold drowning out the spark plug. So I replaced it, now #2 is doing it, but it seems more like water than antifreeze. It does seem to happen when wet or rainy out. Could it be possible to get that much water up to the top of the engine to settle around my worn out seal for a spark plug boot?
Well if it is water the answer is yes it can if it is anti freeze then no it can't.
You replaced the plug or the intake manifold? If you have replaced the manifold, sounds like one of the cylinder head gaskets isn't working. Might have to pull the new manifold off & re-seal it.
- I have a 1976 Ford F150 with a 390 engine. Can anyone tell me what the spark plug gap should be? Don't answer if you don't know. And don't answer if you are just trying to be a wise guy.
- 1999 ford f150 v6 rough idle and spark plug questipn? My 99 Ford f150 is a v6 and I'm having a rough idea or a miss while my foots on the brake and its in gear it idles like it wants to die. I just noticed the 3 plug wired on the passenger side were burnt so I imagine its spark knocking. But my question is what plugs should I use and is this my only problem causing the rough idle? But should I go with e3s?
