Ford Fiesta 1.25 Ztc Cam belt replacement?
After how many miles should the cam (timing) belt be replaced on the MK5 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec engine?
I've heard some say 50k and others say 100k.
It was 100K or 10years but Ford recommend doing it earlier. Personally I would do it at 60k max just to be safe.
Its in owners mania or online service chart for Ford etc.
the mileage is only part of it as age of belt is also a consideration. 100k is over the top but possible. Mine is now ten years old and will be changed this year at 56k. Its better to change earlier than later as failing can be expensive ( sons did ) I would opt or 60K 0r 5 years whatever comes sooner.
- Which Ford Racing cam is best for my 5.0? Building a 5.0 EFI, going cam, heads, throttle body, longtube headers and an o/r x pipe, Going to run nitrous but max 150 shot, out of the ford racing cams (b303, e303, etc.) Which would work best with my set up?
- Timing belt replacement on 1997 Ford Ranger 2.3L XLT? I'm replacing a timing belt on my ford ranger in the morning, I was curious if I have to remove the crankshaft pulley in order to time it or if I just have to line up the markings and then put the belt back on. And no suggestions to take it to a mechanic most people learn by doing themselves its an old truck so that's what I'm doing.

Other than a after market exhaust and a weinand intake with holley 600 or 650 (i don't know which, could find the code on google). I'm looking for a cam to use when i tear the engine down and rebuild. I'm gonna swap the heads to gt40 heads so what is gonna work with gt40 heads

Do I really need the bama hand held tuner to tune the car to the cams? Or can I also tune it on the dyno? I do have a diablo sport predator hand held tuner, but where and how do I buy a custom tune for the cams? And also when I called the shop they asked if i had an sct tuner. Which I don't i have the DS TUNER…
