2008 mustang gt cam installation?

Ok so I have an 08 gt! 5 speed. Next week I will buy the ford racing hot rod cams. And when they are installed. Do I really need the bama hand held tuner to tune the car to the cams? Or can I also tune it on the dyno?
I do have a diablo sport predator hand held tuner, but where and how do I buy a custom tune for the cams? And also when I called the shop they asked if i had an sct tuner. Which I don't i have the DS TUNER…

The shop that installs the cams should be able to tune the car while it's there. I would not recommend driving the car without a tune. You can dyno tune it, but you would have to use a shop that has a dyno tune on site or have the car towed to shop that does.

This issue is that your car has variable valve timing and the ECU controls that, the ECU is assuming you have the stock cams in unless it's reprogramed, the hot rod cams are have a different duration, lift, etc. Than the stock cams so you will run into problems then the ECU attempts to adjust VCT and you are using aftermarket cams

  • Which Ford Racing cam is best for my 5.0? Building a 5.0 EFI, going cam, heads, throttle body, longtube headers and an o/r x pipe, Going to run nitrous but max 150 shot, out of the ford racing cams (b303, e303, etc.) Which would work best with my set up?
  • Cost of deck installation for ford Taurus 04? I have ford Taurus 2004 and I have the standard steered system in it. I hear it's a pain to install it in this car so how much will it be to get it installed professionally with the new parts and everything besides the deck itself?
  • 98 Ford Taurus stereo installation? I bought the mounting kit and hooked everything Up and it works. I still have the roll of speaker wires connected to a plug, what do I do with this? Also there's no plug to fit this and no extra plug to hook up to a stereo.
  • Ford 302 cam modification So i have a completely stock 302 out of a 1973 mustang that i'm swapping into another 1973 mustang. Other than a after market exhaust and a weinand intake with holley 600 or 650 (i don't know which, could find the code on google). I'm looking for a cam to use when i tear the engine down and rebuild. I'm gonna swap the heads to gt40 heads so what is gonna work with gt40 heads
