What's the best first car?
I'm choosing between a Chevy silverado 1500, ford f150, 04 dodge ram 1500 hemi (my dads), or a jeep wrangler. I have a 15,000$ budget give or take a few thousand. I'm looking for a car I can take offroad and is good in bad weather and decent mpg. I know I'm not getting over 20 mpg so you don't have to tell me none of them are good on gas. Out of these choices what would be the best first car.
Is dad buying this for you? Do you have $15,000 or do you have a full time job? Have you checked with a bank or credit union to see how much they will loan on each. Then see what it will cost to license and insure your choices.
I go with the 04 dodge ram. I assume you are a young driver and if you are you are likely, not for sure, but likely to have an accident in the first 3 years you are driving. The large vehicle will protect you.

- What's the first car you owned and best 4 cars made in your country? 1. First car I owned was a Ford mercury sedan left by a ww2 pilot at our farm. - Which car is the best first car? - 1 I'm 16 and I'm going to be saving up to buy a car. I want to spend $1000-$5000. I will likely have it all the way through college. I'm looking for comfort, safety, space (I'd be hauling my stuff to college), and winter capability. Here is what I like. -2000-07 Ford Taurus SEL -2000-07 Mercury Sable LS Premium -2005-07 Ford Five-Hundred Limited AWD Which one should I get? I'd like to stick with a V6 that's either FWD or AWD.
- What car should I get for my first car? I'm 16 and about to buy my first car. I'm thinking about getting a 94 Ford Ranger (120k miles) with lifted suspension, off road tires, and a prerunner bumper. Would this be a reliable car throughout my high school years? Should I get that or should I just get a 2 door coupe?
- What is the best first car for a 16 year kid? Getting my kid a car between the years of 1960 and 1980 because he wants one. Don't care about gas, price or insurance. Not to throw flowers on myself but we can afford it completely. I was thinking between a 1966 Ford Mustang or maybe a 70s Cadillac or a 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV which my father had and i had great memories in.
